Denise Marie Gaber, the visionary founder and recording artist behind HERricane Wallflower, is a Fargo, ND resident whose love for music and beauty has been woven into her soul since birth. As a young girl, Denise used her hairbrush for two essential purposes: to create outward beauty and as a microphone to belt out the rugged anthems of the '70s and '80s.
Passionate about music and singing, Denise developed her confidence and deepened her love for music, ultimately becoming the lead vocalist for various local bands. In the mid 2000’s, she put her hand to the pen and paper, and began turning her life stories into songs.
A decade ago, while living in Arizona, the name HERricane Wallflower blossomed in Denise's heart, symbolizing boldness and bliss—the belief that true love starts from within and spirals outward into the world, embodying the creative essence of life itself.
Her journey has led her to collaborate with top-tier songwriters, Hollywood musicians and Grammy Award-winning producers. Most recently, she recorded her five-song EP in Paris, France, at Studio Sainte-Marthe working alongside renowned engineer and mixer FrancIs Caste, gifted Producer and Artistry Coach, Emily Palen of Knightress, and talented musicians Leo Caviglioli (guitarist), Waldo Losada (Bassist) and Prosper Duffers (drummer).
Denise is celebrated for her powerhouse voice and passionate sound that ignites audiences, rocking them to their feet while soothing their souls. Through HERricane Wallflower, she invites everyone to experience the vibrant, transformative journey of love and creativity.

thoughts from the heart
I stepped into this world with fire and passion, ready to seize every moment. Yet, somewhere along the path, I stumbled. I wrestled with feelings of not belonging, and, in the chaos, I lost sight of my inner compass and purpose.
At 14, I experienced my first love, a whirlwind romance that lasted 7 and a half years, filled with highs and lows, and brought two incredible children into my life. Youthful hearts aren’t always equipped for such depth, and we eventually drifted apart.
As a single mom, I navigated a maze of relationships, each new connection echoing old patterns. Before I knew it, I found myself married again, this time blessed with three more beautiful children. Yet, even within the comfort of family, I lost pieces of my identity. After 24 years, we, too, came apart.
The journey was punctuated by profound loss, including the heartbreak of losing a child. In my darkest moments, when defeat threatened to swallow me whole, a light stirred within. I learned that my heart didn’t just shatter; it broke open, revealing a reservoir of love and an insatiable quest for understanding, acceptance, and my purpose.
Half a lifetime of relationships taught me an invaluable lesson: my primary commitment must be to myself. I had to learn to love me, unconditionally. This self-love paved the way for acceptance, presence, and the courage to face fear and vulnerability. To heal is to feel, and growth blooms through forgiveness.
Reconnecting with my true self unveiled my calling, guiding me to empower others on their journeys. Today, I draw from these experiences to illuminate paths for individuals, couples, and families, championing healthy relationships with self and others.
